Empowering Stakeholders With Track & Trace
Government
Governments benefit significantly from T&T through enhanced regulatory compliance and food safety monitoring. By leveraging blockchain and IoT technologies, T&T ensures that all steps in the food supply chain are transparent and traceable, making it easier for regulators to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Real-time data collection and analysis help in monitoring and controlling food imports and exports, which aids in maintaining national food security. Additionally, the increased visibility into the supply chain allows for prompt responses to food safety incidents, protecting public health and minimizing risks associated with foodborne illnesses.
Businesses
For businesses, T&T offers tools that streamline operations, improve supply chain efficiencies, and reduce costs. Integrating AI and IoT enables precise inventory management and demand forecasting, minimizing surplus and shortages. Blockchain technology facilitates secure and transparent transactions, improving trust between suppliers and retailers. By using T&T’s solutions, businesses can reduce food waste, enhance product quality, and increase customer satisfaction through improved traceability and authenticity verification. Furthermore, companies can leverage these technologies to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable practices, gaining a competitive edge in the market.
Consumers
Consumers enjoy increased transparency and accountability with T&T's offerings. By accessing detailed information about their food's origin, journey, and handling, consumers can make more informed choices that align with their health preferences and ethical values. This transparency fosters trust in food products and brands, as consumers can verify the authenticity and safety of what they consume. Moreover, consumers benefit from reduced prices and improved quality due to the efficiencies and reduced waste implemented throughout the supply chain. T&T also enhances consumer safety by enabling faster recalls and responses to food safety issues, ensuring that only safe products reach the market.
FSMA 204: The Importance Of Traceability
Foodborne illnesses affect approximately 48 million people in the United States each year, resulting in 128,000 hospitalizations and 3,000 deaths, highlighting a significant public health concern that is largely preventable. The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), enacted in 2011, aims to transform the food safety landscape by shifting the focus from reacting to foodborne illnesses to preventing them.
One aspect of FSMA, specifically Section 204, focuses on the Food Traceability final rule issued under the designed to facilitate faster identification and rapid removal of potentially contaminated food from the market, resulting in fewer foodborne illnesses and/or deaths.
Foods subject to the final rule requirements appear on the Food Traceability List (FTL) and include fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, shell eggs, nut butter, as well as certain fresh fruits, certain fresh vegetables, ready-to-eat deli salads, soft cheeses, and certain seafood products.
Persons who manufacture, process, pack, or hold foods on the FTL must maintain records including Key Data Elements (KDEs) related to Critical Tracking Events (CTEs) in the supply chain for the food. Covered entities – including farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail food establishments, and restaurants – will be required to provide this traceability information to the FDA within 24 hours of an official request, or within some reasonable time to which the FDA agrees.
The compliance date is January 20, 2026. Start working on this today with T&T!

Halal Services
The Halal sector in the United States has been experiencing significant growth in recent years, primarily driven by an increasing Muslim population and a rising interest in Halal-certified products among non-Muslim consumers. This growth presents both opportunities and challenges.
Halal Services
Current Situation & Challenges
Market Growth and Demand: The demand for Halal products is increasing, with a diverse range of products including food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Businesses are looking to capitalize on this demand by offering more Halal-certified options.
Certification and Standards: There is a challenge in the consistency of Halal certification standards. Different certifying bodies have varying criteria, which can be confusing for consumers and producers alike. Additionally, the current certification process is often manual and laborious, adding to the complexity and time required for producers to achieve certification.
Consumer Awareness and Trust: Many consumers are not fully aware of what signifies Halal certification. There is also a trust issue, as some consumers are skeptical about the authenticity of the certification due to past scandals involving mislabeling.
Supply Chain Issues: Ensuring that Halal standards are maintained throughout the supply chain, from production to delivery, is a significant challenge. This involves careful monitoring and compliance with Halal regulations.
